Video Calls
Video Calls on Fixed Line
How do I subscribe to the video call service?
You will need to subscribe to a SingTel fixed line and purchase a video
phone in order to make video calls.
Can I retain the same telephone number if I subscribe to video call service?
Yes, you can keep your current telephone number for normal voice calls
as well as video calls.
Why do I need a modem for the service?
The video call service rides on Internet technology, so a modem is needed.
Not to worry. Installation is provided free of charge.
If I have an existing broadband Internet service using my existing telephone
line, can the service co-exist or will I need a separate broadband enabled
line?
Only SingNet Broadband Unlimited plan customers can use the same broadband
line with the video call service. Hence if you are an existing SingNet
Broadband Unlimited Plan subscriber, you do not need a separate broadband
enabled line for the service.
Also if you need to use your video phone and your PC concurrently, you
will need to have a 2Wire modem or equivalent. Customers can purchase
the equipment at a special price.
