1. What is this Free 200 mins Talktime about?

    Birthday Treats is a SingTel loyalty programme. Apart from exclusive promotions at selected merchants, SingTel is also giving 200 mins of Free Talktime to existing residential postpaid customers from July 2009 onwards.

  2. Who is eligible to participate?

    Existing residential SingTel Mobile postpaid customers with:

    • A valid DOB registered with SingTel
    • DOB must be within 1 July – 31 Dec, from Year 1900 to 2004
    • Subscribed to an eligible 2G/3G voice plan

  3. Is there a registration fee, minimum contract or any termination fee?

    No. The SingTel Birthday – Free 200 mins Talktime is offered as a birthday treat. No registration, minimum contract or termination fee is applicable.

  4. Do I need to register to enjoy this promotion?

    No registration is required. As long as you have a valid DOB with SingTel and are subscribed to an eligible price plan, the Free 200 mins Talktime will be credited to your mobile line with the oldest tenure.

  5. How do I know if I’m eligible for this promotion?

    Customers who are eligible for SingTel Birthday - Free 200 mins Talktime will receive an SMS notification on their birthday month. In addition, eligible customer can view the information and Terms & Conditions at www.singtel.com/birthday09.

  6. Is there a cap on the Free mins?

    The SingTel Birthday – Free 200 mins Talktime is capped at 200 mins over a period of 30 days. Excess local airtime is charged at prevailing price plan rates.

  7. When can I enjoy the SingTel Birthday – Free 200 mins Talktime?

    SingTel Birthday – Free 200 mins Talktime will be credited on the bill cycle date of your birthday month.
    Eg. Your DOB is on 1 July and your bill cycle date falls on the 10 of every month.
    => SingTel Birthday – Free 200 mins will be provisioned on 10 July and is valid for 30 days, until 9 August.

  8. Who can I call using the SingTel Birthday – Free 200 mins Talktime?

    SingTel Birthday – Free 200 mins Talktime is applicable for local outgoing calls made to any SingTel fixed and mobile (postpaid and prepaid) lines only, excluding fixed line numbers from other operators that have been transferred to SingTel.

  9. I’ve ported in my mobile line from M1/StarHub to SingTel. Can I also enjoy SingTel Birthday –
    Free 200 mins Talktime on my birthday month?

    Yes. All port-in mobile lines from other operators onto SingTel network are considered as SingTel Mobile numbers and are eligible to enjoy Free 200 mins Talktime. But you must have a valid DOB registered with SingTel and subscribed to an eligible price plan.

  10. I did not fully utilize the SingTel Birthday – Free 200 mins Talktime during my birthday month.
    Can I carry over to the next month?

    Unused Free minutes cannot be carried forward to subsequent months. Any unused minutes will be forfeited.

  11. I have 3 SingTel Mobile lines registered under my name. Can I enjoy SingTel Birthday –
    Free 200 mins Talktime on all 3 lines?

    Free mins is applicable to 1 mobile line per customer. The line selected will be based on the oldest tenure and must be on an eligible price plan.

  12. In July 2009, I received an SMS on my SingTel Mobile Line A informing me that I’m eligible for SingTel Birthday Treats – Free 200 mins Talktime and the free mins will start from 20 July (bill cycle date).


    1. But I have terminated Line A on 24 July. Can I still enjoy this promotion on another SingTel Mobile line registered under my name?

      Free mins will be pro-rated on Line A from 20 to 23 July. Line A is terminated on 24 July, any unused Free mins will cease. Unused Free mins cannot be transferred to another line.


    2. But I have just transferred Line A to my friend B. Can I still enjoy this promotion on another SingTel Mobile line registered under my name?

      Free minutes are not transferable. Once Line A has been transferred to Customer B, the free minutes on Line A will cease. If Line A was transferred to Customer B before free minutes have been issued, our system will automatically select the next available line with the oldest tenure under your name.


    3. But my DOB in your system is wrong. Can I still enjoy this promotion?

      We can update your new DOB in our system.
      i. If your birthday has passed
      => You will receive your birthday treats on your next birthday. Birthday offers are subject to change without prior notice.
      ii. If your birthday has not passed
      => Our system will credit SingTel Birthday – Free 200 mins to the line with the oldest tenure, on the bill cycle date.


    4. I want the SingTel Birthday – Free 200 mins Talktime to be given to a different line under my name?

      Free minutes have been issued to the line with the oldest tenure and it is applicable per line, per customer.

  13. My birthday was in April and I did not receive SingTel Birthday – Free 200 mins Talktime. Why?

    The SingTel Birthday – Free 200 mins Talktime promotion is launched in July 2009. If we have updated your Date of Birth with us, you will receive your birthday treat on your next birthday. Birthday treats are subject to change without prior notice.

  14. My DOB falls in July and I received an SMS informing me that I’m eligible for SingTel Birthday Treats – Free 200 mins Talktime, but I do not see this reflected in my July’s bill.

    Free mins will start on your bill cycle date and is valid for 30 days. If you have exceeded your bundled mins and have utilized the Free 200 mins Talktime in July, you will see the following description in your next bill in August: SingTel Birthday – Free 200 mins Birthday Treats (Outgoing Voice/Video to SingTel only)

  15. I do not need the Free 200 mins Talktime. Can I transfer it to my spouse or a family member who also has a SingTel Mobile postpaid line?

    Free mins are not transferable. If your spouse or family member has a valid DOB and is subscribed to an eligible price plan, he/she will enjoy SingTel Birthday – Free 200 mins Talktime on the bill cycle date of his/her birthday month.
