A STD 020 call is billed according to the number of chargeable units where each unit allows for a certain amount of talktime. The talktime allowed depends on the town/city called. For example, a chargeable unit for a STD 020 call to Johor Bahru during the economy rate period gives you 66.67 seconds of talktime. Call timing commences when the called party answers and ceases when either party hangs up securely. A call is charged based on the charge period (ie Standard or Economy) in which the call begins, regardless of the period in which it may end. STD 020 calls are quoted on a per minute basis and calls charged in $0.10 unit blocks. Promotion also applies to outgoing IDD 001 and ICC 1898 calls made from Singapore.
