SingNet Security Suite offers more comprehensive filtering for online content including: - URL filtering - determine websites which are off limits
- Keyword filtering - filters websites that contain certain words
- Image filtering - filters out potentially inappropriate pictures from web pages based on McAfee's Image Analysis technology
- Schedule time - schedules the times and duration that certain users are allowed online.
Each user can be categorized as Young child, child, younger teen, older teen, adult. Content is rated based on the profile's group and access is allowed or denied based on this rating. SingNet tries as hard as possible to ensure that users who opt for filtering service be surfing in a safe, family-friendly environment. However, we must understand that everyday, new undesirable sites do pop up. Hence, while the SingNet BroadBand Filtering Service updates itself with a list of undesirable sites frequently, we still require our subscriber's assistance to report any undesirable sites to us, which we will review and hence block if they are deemed undesirable. The address to report undesirable sites is: http://www.singnet.com.sg/product/fol/report.html With this service, parents can also closely and specifically control what their children Internet access. Parents have the option to define up to 6 different sets of filtering rules for their children. This allows only restricted Internet access for the children while parents can enjoy unrestricted Internet surfing (except for websites prohibited by Media Development Authority). Additionally, you may ultilize the NEW Whitelist/ Blacklist feature which can allow or deny 10 known or chosen sites which you may have found provocative or unsuitable for your child.
Another NEW feature incorporated in the Enhanced Filter Service allows you to track the usage of the child’s access and provides an in-depth summary up to the URL level.
