Safe Arrival SMS enables all SingTel Mobile customers (including hi!Card/Prepaid Mobile Card customers) to send a pre-set SMS to inform their loved ones upon their safe arrival in an overseas country.

3.Is this service available to all SingTel Mobile customers?
Yes, this service is available to all SingTel Mobile customers (including hi!Card/Prepaid Mobile Card customers), provided that it is supported by the overseas operator’s network.  Please click here for the list of supported networks.

4.How do I send a Safe Arrival SMS?
To send, simply key and then .

For example, if you are roaming in Malaysia and wish to send a Safe Arrival SMS to a friend in Singapore with mobile no. 91111111,

Your friend will then receive the following message:
“I’ve arrived safely in Malaysia. Contact me via SMS as I can send & receive SMS while overseas.”

5.Who can I send a Safe Arrival SMS to?
You can send a Safe Arrival SMS to any:
  • SingTel Mobile customer
  • SingTel Fixed Line SMS customer
  • M1 customer
  • StarHub Mobile customer
  • Overseas friend’s mobile phone (provided that the recipient’s network support Global SMS. Please click here to check the list of supported networks for Global SMS.)

Yes, they are able to reply your Safe Arrival SMS as the sender field will carry your mobile number.

Yes, they will be able receive your Safe Arrival SMS even when they are roaming overseas.

9.What are the charges for sending a Safe Arrival SMS while I am roaming overseas?
SingTel Mobile subscription customers (including Pay-As-U-Roam customers) are charged $0.15 per Safe Arrival SMS sent and hi!Card/Prepaid Mobile Card customers are charged $0.50 per Safe Arrival SMS sent.

10.If I receive a reply to the Safe Arrival SMS I have sent, how much will I be charged?
This depends on whether the overseas operator charges for receiving SMS. However, most of the overseas operators do not charge for receiving SMS.

13.What is the difference between sending a Safe Arrival SMS and sending a Roaming SMS (send to Singapore while roaming)?
  • The charge for sending a Safe Arrival SMS is lower as compared to sending a normal SMS.

    For example, if you are roaming in Malaysia and wish to send a Safe Arrival SMS to a friend in Singapore, the charge is $0.15 (for SingTel Mobile subscription customers as compared to the Roaming SMS charge at $0.75* (the charge may vary depending on the network that you are logged onto).
  • With Safe Arrival SMS, you will be sending a pre-set message to inform your loved ones about your safe arrival instead of composing your own message when sending a normal SMS.
