(A) ABOUT 3G PAL :

1. What is 3G PAL?
   3G PAL allows you to make free* local outgoing voice and video calls^ and 50%^ off local SMS and MMS charges to one frequently called number. (* capped at $100 per month ^ deductible after bundle)
   
   
2. Who can benefit from this 3G PAL VAS?
   3G PAL is only applicable to:
   - New and Existing SingTel Mobile Postpaid Subscribers,
   1. 3G subscribers ONLY,
   2. Residential customers ONLY,
   - NRIC-registered
   1. Foreigners holding Work Permit Holders, Employment Pass Holders, S Pass, etc as long as they meet the eligibility to apply for a mobile line
   Exclusions:
   - BRN-registered customers,
   1. CIS customers,
   2. Staff/Family.
   
   
3. Is there a cap to the free outgoing calls?
   Yes, the amount of discount for free outgoing calls is capped at $100 per month.
   
   
4. Is there a cap to the number of MMS or SMS which will enjoy the 50% discount?
   No, there is no cap to the number of MMS or SMS which will enjoy the 50% discount.
   
   
5. Is there a minimum subscription period for this VAS?
   Yes, the minimum subscription period for this VAS is 1 month.
   
   
6. How can I subscribe to 3G PAL?
   All eligible subscribers can sign-up 3G PAL via one of the following methods:
   • Walk-in to any hello! stores
   • Walk-in to any SingTel Mobile Authorized Dealers
   • Call-in to 1626 (for existing customers only)

8. How long can I enjoy the free outgoing calls to my nominated number?
   All free local outgoing calls and 50% off on local SMS/MMS will terminate on 31st December 2008.

   You can change your nominated number by visiting any of our hello! stores or by calling 1626
   
   

1. I am not a 3G subscriber, can I subscribe to 3G PAL?
   No, 3G PAL is only applicable to all STM 3G subscribers, except for customers on iOne Plus Student, iTwo Value Student & iTwo Plus Student price plans. Take this opportunity to change your price plan to any of our 7 3G price plans to enjoy this benefit. .
   
   
2. I am registered under a corporate plan, can I subscriber to 3G PAL?
   No, 3G PAL is only applicable to STM Residential subscribers (NRIC/Work Permit/Employment Pass/S Pass-registered).
   
   
3. Can both of us nominate each other as our 3G PAL?
   Yes, as long as both of you fulfill the criteria, you are able to nominate each other as 3G PALl.
   
   
   
   
4. Can the nominated number be a StarHub/M1 mobile number?
   No, the nominated number must be a SingTel Mobile postpaid number.
   
   
5. Must the nominated number be on 3G plans as well?
   No, nominated numbers can be non-3G STM subscribers.
   
   
6. Must the nominated number be on personal plans as well?
   No, nominated numbers can be BRN STM subscribers.
   
   
7. How many frequently called numbers can I nominate?
   Each customer is limit to 1 3G PAL. As such, you can only nominate 1 frequently called number.
   
   
8. If I downgrade my 3G price plan to a 2G price plan, can I still enjoy the benefits from 3G PAL?
   No, 3G PAL is applicable to all 3G price plans except for 3G iOne Plus Student Promotion. Your 3G PAL will be ceased automatically under your 2G price plan.
   
   
9. I have transferred my mobile line to my friend/family. Can my friend/family still enjoy free outgoing calls to my nominated frequently called number?
   No, 3G PALl will be ceased automatically with any transfer in ownership. Your friend/family can apply for the service separately as long as he/she meets the criteria. One-time charge of $10.70 will apply.
   
   
10. I am an existing subscriber of the current FCN VAS, can I still subscribe to 3G PAL? Can the 3G PAL nominated number be the same with the FCN nominated number?
    Yes, you can subscribe to both 3G PAL and the current FCN VAS, but the nominated numbers have to be different.
    
    
11. I have subscribed to 3G PAL. If I change plan or change number, will my 3G PAL be brought forward to my new plan or new number automatically?
    Yes, the nominated number under your old plan/number will be ported over to your new plan/number as long as it is a 3G plan and under the same registered name.
    
    
12. I have subscribed to 3G PAL. If there is an involuntary TOS (TOS due to TD by Credit Management and TOS due to loss), will I need to pay for the monthly fee during the TOS period?
    Yes, the monthly fee will continue during the TOS period.
    
    

1. What are the charges applicable to 3G PAL?
   Charges for 3G PAL are as follow:
   • One-time charge = $10.70
   • Monthly charge = $3.21 per month
   
   
2. Will there be any penalty charge if I terminate the VAS?
   No, as long as you fulfill the one-month subscription period, there will be no penalty charge if you terminate this VAS.
   
   
3. Is there any charge if I want to change my nominated number?
   Yes, a one-time charge of $10.70, will apply when you change your nominated number.
   
   
4. If my friend/family, whom I nominate as my 3G PAL, changes his/her mobile number/ownership, will my nominated FCN be automatically changed?
   No, you will have to inform SingTel Mobile via walk-in or 1626 on the change of FCN. If not, your nominated FCN will continue to be the “old” number. The one-time charge of $10.70 will apply.
   
   
5. Will my 3G PAL registration fee of $10.70 be waived if I were to take up 3G PAL together with a new line?
   No, 3G PAL registration fee of $10.70 is applicable to all customers, including of new lines sign-up with 3G PAL.
   
   
6. I am a P1500 customer, will the registration fee for 3G PAL be waived?
   No, 3G PAL registration fee is chargeable for P1500 customers.
   
   
7. I am a ST-UOB customer, will the registration fee for 3G PAL be waived?
   Yes, 3G PAL registration fee is waived for ST-UOB customers.
