A. ABOUT Multi-SIM (General) : 1. What is Multi-SIM? Multi-SIM service enables you to have just one mobile line and multiple SIM cards (up to max. 4 SIM cards). Now you can enjoy the convenience of using one mobile number across multiple handsets or devices to make simultaneous data transfers while talking on the phone. 2. How does it work? You will be issued a set of Multi-SIM cards (up to max. 4 cards). The SIM cards can be used on any handset (e.g. Mobile Phones, PDA, Blackberry, PC Card etc).
At any one time, all Multi-SIM cards can make outgoing voice calls/video calls/SMS/MMS. Only 1 of the Multi-SIM card (term as Preferred Card) will be able to receive voice calls/video calls/SMS/MMS. ALL the Multi-SIM cards@ will be able to use data simultaneously. So, you can make a voice call while working / surfing using a PDA/laptop/Blackberry.

To assign the Preferred Multi-SIM Card to receive voice calls, video calls, SMS & MMS, you simply do the switching over via these simple steps:

Yes, the minimum subscription period for this Value-added service is 1 month. 4. Where can I go to subscribe this service? How can I register for Multi-SIM service? You may visit any Hello Stores or Teleshop to sign-up the Value-added service. 5. Do I need to sign-up for multiple mobile Value Added service for all Multi-SIM Cards? No. You only need to sign-up one under your mobile line. 6. Will my bundle Airtime and SMS/Data be shared across all the Multi-SIM Cards? Yes, your bundle Airtime and SMS/Data will be shared across all the Multi-SIM cards. Prevailing airtime and SMS/Data charges apply on usage beyond bundle. 7. Can Multi-SIM be used on all handsets models? Yes. Multi-SIM can be used on all handsets' models (refer to km list of PDAs/Blackberry devices that support/do not support USSD code). 3G services can only be used on 3G handsets

8. For devices that do not support USSD, what should I do? For non USSD supported PDAs, kindly follow the simple steps in the table below. To setup Multi-SIM (one-time only) | Step 1: | Put the Multi-SIM card you intend to use in a non-USSD code supported device, into any USSD-supported device. | Step 2: | Key in 141 08 and to assign the Multi-SIM card as the dedicated card. You will receive a msg : This SIM card is assigned for use in the device that do not support USSD code (eg *XXX#) | Step 3: | Your Multi-SIM card has been successfully assigned. You may slot the SIM card to the non-USSD supported device now. | | | To toggle this pre-assigned Multi-SIM card (in a non-USSD support handset) to receive / make calls, | -->simply key in 148 and using your current Master SIM. 9. Can I access data on all the Multi-SIM Cards? You are able to access data on any of the Multi-SIM cards.
10. Will my Colour-Me-Tone be shared across all the Multi-SIM Cards? Yes. 11. I have download Ring Tones/Wallpapers/Games on one of the handsets/devices. Can all my other handsets/devices share the same downloads? No. The downloads will only be available on the particular handset that you have carried out the downloads. 12. Can I receive incoming calls on my preferred Multi-SIM Card while calling out using my other Multi-SIM card? Yes, you will be able to receive incoming calls & make outgoing calls at the same time. 13. Can I set Call Divert on all Multi-SIM Cards? No. Call Divert can only be set at the Preferred Multi-SIM Card. Only the Preferred Multi-SIM Card is allowed to make and receive voice/video calls. 14. Will I still retain Caller Alert & Missed Call Alert for all Multi-SIM Cards? Caller Alert and Missed Call Alert will only work on the Preferred Multi-SIM card. 15. Is there multiple Voicemail box for each Multi-SIM Cards? Only one Voicemail box is available.
16. Is it possible to have a mixture of 2G and 3G SIM Cards for Multi-SIM service? No. 2G and 3G SIM cards cannot be mixed.
B. Multi-SIM with Carphone : 1. Can Multi-SIM be used on carphone? So far, the carphones sold in Singapore market do not support USSD code. User who wishes to use Multi-SIM on carphone can follow A, Q7's simple steps. C. Multi-SIM with BlackBerry : 1. I am currently a subscriber of BlackBerry service (BES Unlimited price plan) and would like to subscribe to Multi-SIM, do I have to subscribe to another BlackBerry service plan? No. However, to use your BlackBerry service on Multi-SIM, you can only access your emails on a designated BlackBerry device and specify a dedicated SIM to support the service. 2. I am holding a Blackberry 8700g & a Nokia E61 (Blackberry Connect Device) and would like to read my emails on both devices. How can I do this? For BlackBerry service, customers can only read their emails on the designated BlackBerry device. To read emails on another BlackBerry-enabled device, customers have to manually switch the BlackBerry-enabled Multi-SIM card to the desired device and re-synchronize their emails via the BlackBerry desktop manager. Please note that emails that were received/sent on the 1st BlackBerry device will not be replicated on the 2nd device. D. Multi-SIM with Roaming : 1. Can I roam with Autoroam / Pay-As-U-Roam with all the Multi-SIM Cards? Yes. You can use Autoroam / Pay-As-U-Roam service for all the Multi-SIM cards while you are overseas if you have subscribed the service. 2. When roaming, will all Multi-SIM Cards log on to one network or multiple networks? If the SIM cards are set to "Auto Selection of Network", all Multi-SIM Cards will have the possibility to log on to different operators/networks. In order to log on to a single operator/network, it is advisable to set the Multi-SIM Cards to "Manual Selection of Network". Then set to your desired operator/network. 3. I have rented a Pick & Roam handset from SingTel (the sim-card type. Eg Korea GSM-CDMA set). Can I slot my Multi-SIM & use? Customer is not recommended to use Multi-SIM on Pick & Roam handset as the handset may not support USSD code. E. ELIGIBILITY : 1. Who is eligible to subscribe to Multi-SIM? All SingTel Mobile Post-paid subscribers (both 2G and 3G) are eligible for this service. 2. I am currently a subscriber of Data3 Premium Unlimited price plan and would like to subscribe to Multi-SIM. Do I have to purchase another Data3 price plan? No. You can enjoy data access with your existing Data3 Premium Unlimited price plan and subscribe to a maximum of 3 Multi-SIM cards. For both Data3 Premium Unlimited and Data Unlimited price plans, customers can only subscribe to a maximum of 3 Multi-SIM cards. 3. I am a Pre-paid subscriber. Can I subscribe to Multi-SIM service? This service is only applicable to SingTel Mobile Post-paid subscribers (both 2G and 3G). 4. I have port-in my M1/StarHub number. Can I subscribe to this Multi-SIM service? Yes. 5. Do I need to sign-up for multiple mobile lines to subscribe this VAS? No. You only need to subscribe to one mobile line and opt to have up to a maximum of 4 Multi-SIM cards under this VAS. 6. I have subscribed to TWIN Card service. Can I apply for Multi-SIM service? No. You can only subscribe to either one of the service. You need to cancel Twincard service & sign up for Multi-SIM service. 7. I have subscribed to 2-in-1 SIM service. Can I apply for Multi-SIM service? No. You can only subscribe to either one of the service. You need to cancel 2-in-1 SIM service & sign up for Multi-SIM service. 8. I subscribe to Multi-SIM service & Phone Backup service. Which SIM card can I use to synchronize the entries? As Multi-SIM service has 1 mobile number with different SIM card numbers, all the SIM cards can be used to synchronize. Please note that there is only 1 common Phone Backup account for the subscriber. At any one time, only 1 SIM card can be used for synchronization. The Phone Backup synchronization behavior is illustrated below: For example, user uses device A (with the 1st SIM card) to do a synchronization of 450 entries. Wendy Lee (mobile 9111 1111) is one of the entries being synchronized. Subsequently, when the user uses device B (with the 2nd SIM card) to do a 2nd synchronization of 480 entries, he amended Wendy Lee's number to 9222 2222 plus a 2nd entry of 9333 3333 under Wendy Ho. The phonebook system entries should now be updated with 481 entries with the 1st Wendy Lee's contact changed from 9111 1111 to 9222 2222 & Wendy Ho's entry as 9333 3333. F. Multi-SIM - Loss / TOS / change plan / transfers / change number / Replacement of SIM card / termination / others 1. I subscribe to Multi-SIM service. I have lost my mobile phone. What should I do? You should immediately call 1626 to suspend your line to prevent any unauthorized use. SingTel will suspend your line (ie. All your Multi-SIM cards will be suspended). Pls proceed to hello! shop to obtain your replacement Multi-SIM cards & reinstate your line. Pls note down the remaining Multi-SIM cards that you're holding so as to aid us in identifying which is the lost card to be replaced. Replacement of your lost Multi-SIM card is FREE. 2. I subscribe to Multi-SIM service. I want to change my mobile number. Do I need to change all my SIM cards? You do not need to change your Multi-SIM Cards. SingTel will link all the Multi-SIM Cards to your new number. 3. I subscribe to Multi-SIM service. I wish to change my mobile price plan to another price plan. Do I need to subscribe to Multi-SIM service again? If you change plan to an eligible price plan, you just need to inform us that you wish to continue subscribing to Multi-SIM service. 4. I subscribe to Multi-SIM service. I wish to transfer my mobile line to another subscriber. Can the new subscriber retain Multi-SIM service? What if the new subscriber do not wish to retain Multi-SIM service, what must he do? Yes. The new subscriber needs to inform us that he wish to retain Multi-SIM service. If the new subscriber does not wish to retain Multi-SIM service, we will replace him with a non-Multi-SIM card & he will pay $19.26 for the card. 5. If the Multi-SIM Card is spoilt, is there any charge for replacement card? If the card is faulty due to manufacturer's defect, the Multi-SIM card will be replaced at no charge, else replacement card is charged at $10.70 per card. You can visit any Hello Shops to get a Multi-SIM replacement card. 6. If I wish to terminate my Multi-SIM service, what should I do? You may visit any of the Hello Stores or Teleshop to terminate your Multi-SIM Cards. You will need to change your SIM Card to a non-Multi-SIM SIM card. The Change SIM of $19.26 will be chargeable.
