Travel SIM Value-Added-Service allows multiple overseas local mobile numbers to be offered on a single SingTel Mobile SIM Card.

1. What is Travel SIM?
Travel SIM is a value-added-service that allows a SingTel Mobile (STM) subscriber to have multiple overseas mobile numbers tied to his/her SingTel Mobile SIM Card.

2. How do I sign up for Travel SIM?
Corporate will be signing up through their AMs while Consumers can go to any Hello! Shops or call 1626 to register.

3. Can I select any frequently visited country to have its Overseas Local Roaming Number?
No. Travel SIM VAS is currently available only for Hong Kong and Thailand. More destinations will be added in future.

4. Can I sign-up multiple Overseas Local Roaming Number when more partners are introduced?
Yes, you can sign up multiple Overseas Local Roaming Number on your current SIM when we add on other destinations.

5. Can I select the Overseas Local Roaming Number?
No. All Overseas Local Roaming Numbers will be assigned automatically by system without selection.

6. How do I know what is the Overseas Local Roaming Number assigned to me?
You will be informed either via SMS notification when the TravelSIM VAS is activated or you may dial *113# to enquire.
The SMS notification you will receive once the service is activated (example):
Thank you for subscribing to Travel SIM. Your Thailand, AIS number is +66 87654321.
Should you not receive any SMS, kindly contact 1626 or visit any of our hello! Stores.

7. How do I know what is my Overseas Local Roaming Number?
Please use *113# to check all Overseas Local Roaming Number that you have subscribed to.

8. Must I sign-up for Auto Roam before I can enjoy Travel SIM?
Yes. You must either be a Auto Roam or a Pay-As-U-Roam subscriber before you can subscribe for Travel SIM.

9. I am SingTel Mobile prepaid customer; can I sign up Travel SIM?
No. Travel SIM service is only for postpaid customers.

10. Can I use the roaming local number to make calls?
No. The Overseas Local Roaming Number is only for receiving calls. For making outgoing calls/sending SMS, it will always be from your SingTel Mobile number.

11. Can I choose my Caller-ID to show the Overseas Local Roaming Number when I’m making calls/send SMS in partner network?
No. When you are making outgoing calls/sending SMS, it will always be your SingTel Mobile number.

12. Will I know if the incoming call is calling my Overseas Local Roaming Number or my STM number?
No. There will not be indication that the incoming call is calling your Overseas Local Roaming Number or SingTel Mobile number. You will only see the caller-ID (if identifiable) as per current experience.

13. Will I receive incoming SMS on my Overseas Local Roaming Number?
Yes, you can receive incoming SMS sent to your Overseas Local Roaming Number, regardless of network that has been logged on or the status of Travel SIM. You will also receive incoming SMS on your STM number as per current experience. Note that you will not be able to receive incoming SMS sent to your HK CSL number.

14. What happens when I am using MultiSIM?
Only the Master SIM will be able to receive calls and SMS on the Overseas Local Roaming Number.

15. What is the message that Travel SIM will send to me when I miss a call on my roaming local number?
a) Caller with no CLI (XCLI/no CLI/dummy CLI)
You have 1 unidentified call to your no. +6613456788. Pls turn on service or logon AIS/Thailand to receive calls.

“You have 1 unidentified call(s) to your no. +6613456788 for past 24 hrs. Pls turn on service or logon SingTel/THAILAND AIS network to receive calls.”

b) Caller with CLI
659834123456 is calling your no. +6612345678. Pls turn on service or logon AIS/Thailand to receive calls

“+659834123456 is calling your no. +66123456788 1 time for past 10 mins. Pls turn on service or logon SingTel/THAILAND AIS network to receive calls.”

Please note:
66123456788: an example of Thailand AIS/Thailand Overseas Local Roaming Number
659834123456: an example of CLI from caller
AIS/Thailand: an example of SingTel partner’s network

16. Can I receive Video Calls on my Overseas Local Roaming Number?
If you are currently able to receive Video Calls on your SingTel Mobile number, you will be able to receive Video Calls on your Overseas Local Roaming Number. Pls refer to the link below for the charges:-

However, if the partner network is not a 3G network, you are not able to receive incoming video calls. Please note that the 5% TravelSIM roaming discount does not apply to Video Calls.

[Note: Thailand AIS does not have 3G network, hence will not be able to receive incoming video calls. But Hong Kong CSL does have 3G network, so will be able to receive incoming video calls.]
