1. What is SingTel Flight Information & Alerts Service?
*188 is a service which keeps overseas visitors updated with the latest schedules on flight arrivals and departures. It also provides SMS alerts for flight details and scheduling changes directly to their mobile phones.
Flight details provided include:
Flight Number
Flight Date
Flight Time
Terminal # (Terminal 1 or 2)
Gate #
Remarks (Landed, Departed, Cancelled, Delayed etc)

2. How does *188 work?
All overseas visitors can enjoy this service on their mobile phone, just make sure you manually select SingTel Mobile network when you visit Singapore.

3. What happens if I do not know the date of the flight?
If the flight date is unknown, you will be prompted to key in “ #”. The system will automatically provide you with details of the next available flight according to the flight number you have indicated.

4. Can I request for schedule of flights that are due to arrive / depart in the next few days?
Yes, schedules are available for flights that are due to arrive / depart within the next 7 days from the day of request. Similarly, SMS flight alerts can be registered for flights that are due to arrive/depart 7 days from the date of request.

5. Can I request for flight alert on flight that is not due to arrive or depart on the day of the request?
Yes, a SMS flight alert can be registered and set for flights arriving/departing 7 days from the date of request.

6. Can I register and set a SMS alert for a flight that is due to arrive / depart more than 1 week from the date of request?
No. The alert can only be registered and set for flights due to arrive / depart within 7 days from the date of request. Otherwise, the request will not be valid.

7. Can I register and set the flight alert immediately after I have requested for the flight information?
Yes. After the flight information is provided, you may proceed to set the flight alert by selecting the appropriate options.

8. What are the possibilities that I cannot register for the flight alerts?- If you are registering for flights that have already departed or landed.
- If you have entered an invalid flight number or one that is due to arrive / depart more than 1 week from the date of request.
- If you have entered a flight that is due to arrive within 1.5hr from the time the alert is set or a flight due to depart within 2.5hr from the time the alert is set.
- If you are not a overseas visitor, and/or is not on SingTel mobile network.

9. How often are the alerts sent to me?
As long as there are changes to the flight details(eg. flight date, time, belt, gate, terminal, remarks) 24hrs prior your flight, you will be alerted of the changes. The last alert sent will be 1.5hr prior the flight arrival or 2.5hr prior flight departure

10. What are the charges for *188?
Calls to *188 are charged at national voice airtime rates (inclusive of VAT). The SMS alerts received are FREE!
