| Q1 | What is Voicemail Lite / Telemail Service? |
| A1 | Voicemail Lite / Telemail is a free voice mail service from SingTel. Callers leave messages when you are unavailable to answer your phone. You can be alerted on your telephone or pager when there is a new message in your Voicemail Lite / Telemail.

| A2 | Voicemail Lite / Telemail answers the call for you when your line is busy or not answered after approximately 6 to 7 rings.

| Q3 | Who is eligible for this service? |
| A3 | All residential registered DEL lines who do not have any voicemail service or conflicting service(s) are eligible for this service. However, for business registered DEL lines are not eligible at this moment.

| Q4 | Can existing Phonemail or Telemail subscriber opt for Voicemail Lite? |
| A4 | Yes, existing Phonemail or Telemail subscriber can opt for Voicemail Lite. This is applicable to single residential line customers. Lines on hunting with Phone Mail are excluded.
Voicemail Lite is also not available for ISDN lines, DID lines, DDI lines, Coinafon and PhoneNet lines.
Once you opt for Voicemail Lite, you need to terminate your Phone Mail or Telemail Service, as both services cannot co-exist.

| Q5 | Can I retain my existing messages when I change my telephone number? |
| A5 | When you change your telephone number, your existing Voicemail Lite / Telemail mailbox will be deleted. A new mailbox will be created for the new telephone number. Please clear all your voice messages before the effective change date.

| Q6 | How is Voicemail Lite / Telemail different from Phonemail? |
| A6 | Both are voice mail and telephone answering service. Voicemail Lite / Telemail is no-frill service while Phone Mail has all the enhanced voice mail features and a bigger message storage capacity.

| Q7 | I am accessing to the service for the 1st time, what is my given password? |
| A7 | You can only access your Voicemail Lite / Telemail service from the phone on which the service is provided. You need to enter a password of between 4 and 7 digits length followed by a #.

| A8 | If you forget your password, please call 6836 3636 to reset your password.

| Q9 | I am notified of new VoiceMail Lite messages on my SingTel mobile phone. However, when I dial 1305 from my mobile phone, there is either "no new messages" or it plays my SingTel Mobile VoiceMail. Why? |
| A9 | Your SingTel Mobile Caller-ID is detected when you enter your PIN and has directed to you to your SingTel Mobile VoiceMail. Please ensure that you are using a different PIN if you have subscribed to both SingTel Mobile VoiceMail and VoiceMail Lite / Telemail so as to differentiate the mailboxes.

| A10 | No, this is no-frill voice mail service. Please subscribe to PhoneMail Service instead if more message storage is required.

| A11 | It can notify you either by a call to a phone or through a pager. In addition, 'stutter' dial tone can be heard when you pick up your fixed telephone. For pager notification, the pager will display -caller number-, or -- if caller number is not available.

| A12 | Yes.

| A13 | No, it can only be used for voice messages only. Hence it is recommended that Voicemail Lite / Telemail should not be provided on line connected to fax machine.

| A15 | Yes, you can return a call to the sender by pressing '0' after the prompt.

| A16 | No number will be displayed at the other party's phone. For the case of some phone or caller ID boxes, it may show as PRIVATE.

| A21 | The use of the message header is to inform you of the caller's number and also the date and time on which the message is deposited. You can skip the message header by pressing "2" while listening to the message header. This will bring you directly into the message content.

| A24 | When you have any new messages in your voice mailbox, a 'stutter' dial tone will be heard once you pick up your phone. Your modem might not be able to detect the normal dial tone to connect to the Internet

| A25 | Yes. You can either clear your voice messages before dialing up or configure your modem to ignore the 'stutter' tone (see question 26 for the configuration).

| Q26 | I receive stutter dial tone on my telephone line and I cannot dial up to the Internet. What should I do? |
| A26 | You will have to change the properties to ignore the stutter dial tone. The steps are :- | 1) | At your computer, click "My computer" icon follow by the "Dial Up Networking" icon. | | 2) | Select and right click at the dial up icon that you are using (eg mysingtel dial up), choose "Properties" | | 3) | A pop up window will appears, under the "General" tab, click "Configure" | | 4) | Subsequently, select the "Connection" tab. | | 5) | Under Call Preference, uncheck the box for 'Wait for the dial tone before dialing'. | | 6) | Click OK to save the new configuration. |
