- Incorporation by reference
In addition to the General Terms and the Specific Terms and
Conditions of SingTel Mobile, which terms and conditions are
deemed incorporated by reference, the Customer shall be bound
by the following Specific Terms and Conditions.
- Definitions and Interpretation
2.1 In these
Specific Terms and Conditions, the following words and expressions
shall have the following meanings:
“Customer” means any person who registers for the
Service.
“General Terms” means the Singapore Telecommunications
Limited's General Terms and Conditions of Service.
“Service” means SingTel mio Mobile Service which
allows Customer to make mobile calls via the WiFi network.
“SingTel Mobile” means Singapore Telecom Mobile
Private Limited and its successors.
2.2 The
words and expressions used in these Specific Terms and Conditions,
which are defined in the General Terms or the Specific Terms
and Conditions for SingTel Mobile but are not defined in these
Specific Terms and Conditions shall have the same meanings as
defined in the General Terms or the Specific Terms and Conditions
for SingTel Mobile unless the context otherwise requires.
2.3 The
headings or titles to the Clauses in these Specific Terms and
Conditions are to facilitate reference and shall not be referred
to or relied upon in the construction of any provision of these
Specific Terms and Conditions.
- Termination
3.1 The
Customer may request to terminate the Service at any SingTel
hello! Customer Service Centers specified at SingTel website,
www.singtel.com.
3.2 Upon
termination of the Mobile Line, the Service will be automatically
terminated.
- Service Requirements and Limitations
4.1 The Customer acknowledges and agrees that:
- The Service is available for SingTel Mobile Postpaid subscribers only.
- The Service is not available to SingTel Mobile subscribers
who have barred IDD or 1900 calls.
- Standard charges apply for all voice calls (made via mobile
network), video calls, SMS/MMS sent and received.
- Standard charges apply for all international calls made
via IDD001, STD020, BudgetCall 013, v019, ICC1898 and ICC1892.
- The Service is only supported on specific handsets and wireless
modems/routers approved by SingTel Mobile. The list of approved
handsets and wireless modems/routers can be found at http://www.singtel.com/miomobile
- SingTel Mobile shall not be liable for IDD, 1900 or other
charges are generated due to fraudulent use of the Service.
- Access and connectivity via Internet are the responsibilities
of the Customer. SingTel Mobile will not be liable for any
disruption of the Service due to Internet problems
- Other SingTel Mobile Valued-Added Services and mobile network
features including Voicemail, Caller Number Non-Display, Call
Divert, Call Waiting and Colour-Me-Tones will not be supported
for calls made using the Service.
- New features introduced from time to time to augment or
enhance the Service, shall be subject to these Specific Terms
and Conditions.
- SingTel Mobile reserves the right to amend these Specific
Terms & Conditions without prior notice.
4.2 SingTel
Mobile shall endeavour to provide the Service with minimum disruptions.
SingTel Mobile shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising
directly or indirectly from any disruptions to the service whatsoever.
Since the Service will be transmitted through public Internet
lines and the public switched telephony network, there may be
power outages or Internet service disruption which may cause
some disruptions in the mio Mobile service, e.g. packet loss
and delay. In event of such disruptions, emergency calls may
also not be available using the Service.
4.3 Calls
to or from the public Internet and the public switched telephony
network are not encrypted and as such, could be potentially
subject to eavesdropping by law enforcement officials or other
third parties over the public Internet. SingTel Mobile will
not be liable for any disruption, delays, eavesdropping or other
omissions in the Service.
- Consent to Use and Disclose Customer Information and Data
5.1 The
Customer agrees that SingTel Mobile shall be entitled to use
or disclose any information or data disclosed by the Customer
in accordance with Clause 15 of the General Terms located at
the SingTel website at www.singtel.com
(or available from SingTel Mobile on written request). The Customer
is entitled to withdraw such consent in the procedure as prescribed
by SingTel Mobile from time to time.
5.2 The
Customer further acknowledges and agrees that SingTel Mobile
may access, preserve, monitor, use and disclose any information
relating to the use of Service by the Customer as reasonably
necessary to provide, maintain and improve the Service, and
to respond to requests for customer service.
- General
6.1 The
Customer shall be bound by and shall fully observe and comply
with all the General Terms as well as such other terms and conditions
as may be agreed or accepted by the Customer. The rights and
protections conferred on SingTel Mobile under these Specific
Terms and Conditions shall be additional to the rights and protections
conferred on SingTel Mobile under the General Terms and any
other terms and conditions agreed or accepted by the Customer.
6.2 Any
Clause in the General Terms, these Specific Terms and Conditions,
or any other terms and conditions as may be agreed or accepted
by the Customer, that is invalid, unenforceable or illegal shall
be enforced as nearly as possible in accordance with its terms,
but shall otherwise be deemed severed and shall not affect the
enforceability of any other Clauses, which Clauses shall continue
to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted
by law.
