C.  Eligibility

Who is eligible for mio Plan?
mio Plan is open to all new and existing SingTel NRIC-registered customers with less than 12 months balance contract period for SingTel Fixed Line, SingTel Mobile and SingNet BroadBand services.

Customers with existing SingTel Fixed Line, SingTel Mobile and SingNet BroadBand registered under their NRIC are encouraged to sign up for mio Plan to enjoy bundle savings from mio Plan.
If I am a SingNet Dial-Up customer, can I take up mio Plan?
Yes. However, you have to upgrade your current SingNet Dial-Up account to a SingNet BroadBand account which is part of the mio Plan.
Are corporate managed account and CIS customers eligible?

a.  mio Plan is not offered to BRN customers. For SME, they will have to sign up for the national promo under their own NRIC to be eligible for mio Plan.

b.  CIS customers will not be eligible for mio Plan. If they wish to apply for mio Plan, they will need to transfer their accounts to be under their own NRIC.

I am neither Singaporean nor permanent resident. Can I sign up for mio Plan and do I need to pay any deposits?
Yes, you can sign up for mio Plan. A foreign deposit may be required if you are holding a Work Permit, Dependence Pass, Student Pass or Social Visit Pass. Employment Pass or S Pass holders are not required to pay a foreign deposit. Please refer to Foreign Deposit table below:

For mobile application, other deposits may be required in accordance to SingTel credit policies. This is applicable for all Singaporeans, Permanent Residents and foreigners holding an Employment Pass or S Pass. Please refer to table below:

I am an existing SingTel Mobile and SingNet customer. Can I change my existing plans to mio Plan?
Yes, as long as the remaining services have less than 12 months remaining contract, and you will have to sign up for a SingTel Fixed Line.
My SingTel Mobile line is under my name, however SingTel Fixed Line and SingNet BroadBand are under my father’s. Can I convert them to mio Plan?
To be eligible for mio Plan, you will need to have all 3 services under your NRIC. In addition, you will need to meet the eligibility criteria. There are a couple of options for you to convert your existing services to mio Plan:

a.  Your father can sign up a new SingTel Mobile line under his name to qualify for mio Plan. He can then nominate your mobile line as a Supplementary Mobile Line so that you can enjoy the mio Plan supplementary line discount.

b.  You may like to transfer the ownership of your current mobile line to be under your father’s name so that he can sign up for a mio Plan.

c.  You can transfer ownership of the SingTel Fixed Line and SingNet BroadBand under your father’s name to be under your name so that you can sign up mio Plan.

I have both SingTel Fixed Line and SingNet BroadBand subscription but my mobile subscription is registered under my company’s name. Am I eligible for mio Plan?
Your mobile subscription needs to be registered under the same NRIC as your SingTel Fixed Line and SingNet BroadBand subscriptions. Therefore, you will need to transfer your company’s mobile line to your NRIC.
I have a SingTel Fixed Line, a SingTel Mobile line and a SingNet BroadBand line. My current broadband subscription speed is 25Mbps. Am I eligible for mio Plan? Will there be downgrading penalty?
Yes, you are eligible for mio Plan, as long as you have less than 12 months remaining contract on your SingTel Mobile, SingNet BroadBand and SingTel Fixed Line services. The downgrade penalty of your existing SingTel services will be waived for launch till further notice.
I am below 21 and currently have a SingTel Mobile line under my name. Am I eligible to sign up for mio Plan?
You are eligible to sign up for ONE mio Plan if you are 18 years old and above but below 21 and you need to subscribe to SingNet BroadBand and SingTel Fixed Line under your NRIC to be eligible for mio Plan. However, your mobile line in mio Plan will not be allowed to make international calls.
I am 21 years old and above. How many mio Plan/(s) can I take up?
Each NRIC subscriber who is 21 years and above is allowed to take up to 4 mio Plan. Terms and conditions for each service apply.
I am below 18 and currently have a SingTel Mobile line under my name. Am I eligible to sign up for mio Plan?
You are not eligible to sign up, as the minimum age to sign up for mio Plan is 18 years.


D.  Sign-Up

Where can I sign up mio Plan?
You can sign up for mio Plan at any hello! Stores, Teleshop, SingTel Exclusive Retailers and via mio Hotline (1800 555 6000). Hotline operating hours: Monday to Saturday, 8.00am to 6.00pm
Can I sign up for mio Plan without engaging any contract?
No, you need to sign a minimum of 24 months contract with SingTel in order to be eligible to take up mio Plan. However, at the end of your 24 months contract, you may:

• Choose to re-contract the mio Plan price plan for another 24 months

• Continue with the mio Plan on a month-to-month basis in accordance with the agreement.

I understand that my SingTel Mobile/SingNet BroadBand line is currently on a promotional rate. Will I be eligible for further discount on my mio Plan?
mio Plan is offered at a special rate and there will be no further promotion on the packages. You can choose to continue with your existing promotional SingTel Mobile/SingNet BroadBand line or to take up mio Plan price plans.
Can I take up mio Plan and do upgrade for both SingTel Mobile and SingNet BroadBand services?
Yes, you can upgrade both SingTel Mobile and SingNet BroadBand services in your existing mio Plan.
Do I have to purchase a handset when I sign up for mio Plan?
Yes, you have to purchase the handset when you sign up for mio Plan.
Are there any special handset offers with this mio Plan?
Yes. You are able to get a CI2 handset price even when you have a minimum 12 months balance contract for your existing mobile line.
When I sign up for mio Plan, am I entitled to any premiums?
Yes, you will be entitled the mobile handset at CI2 price and a FREE mio Box.
How long can I enjoy the free VAS/s?
You will enjoy the free VAS/s bundled with your mio Plan as long as you are still subscribed to mio Plan. However, if there are other VAS/s you wish to subscribe, you can apply for the additional VAS/s during application.
What kind of benefits will I get if I sign up for a supplementary mobile line under my mio Plan?
You can immediately enjoy a supplementary line discount upon tying a mobile line with a mio Plan. Please refer to charges and discounts for supplementary line.

Jane Lim had existing mobile (3G iOne Value), broadband (1500Kbps unlimited) and fixed line services with SingTel.

On 24 January 2007, she signed up for mio Plan and upgraded her mobile line to 3G iTwo Value, and broadband to 3Mbps. She also replaced her fixed line service with mio Voice, retaining her existing fixed line number. Jane received her bill after all her mio Plan services were provided on 8 February 2007.

You may receive a bill in the period during which your application is being processed.

For example, Jane signed up for a mio Plan on 24 January 2007. As mio services are provided progressively, she may receive a bill during the transition period. Her mio Plan subscription will start when all the mio services are fully activated on 8 February 2007.

My 3 services in mio Plan has not been activated and I would like to terminate my application now. But I want to retain my SingTel Mobile line. Do I need to pay any cancellation charges?

Is there any termination penalty for pre-mature termination of price plan? What will be the penalty for termination price plan when there is an existing equipment contract?
Yes, there will be pre-mature termination penalty if you terminate your mio Plan before your contract ends. You will be charged the mio Plan termination fee and termination fee(s) tied to any existing contract(s) for the terminated services. Please refer to table below for the termination fees.

What is the penalty if my mobile line is termination due to loss?
Temporary disconnect due to loss of mobile phone is not subjected to penalty. Your mobile line will not be terminated and you will continue with your mio Plan subscription.
What happen if I wish to terminate one of the services before my contract with SingTel ends? Will I still enjoy mio Plan bundled price plan?
You will no longer enjoy the mio Plan because you terminate one of the services in the mio Plan. Your remaining service will be changed to the prevailing ATL promotional price.
If I terminate my principal mobile line and leave my supplementary line with mio Plan, will there be penalty for this? Will I still enjoy mio Plan bundled price plan?
If you terminate your principle mobile line in the mio Plan, you will no longer enjoy the bundled price and the remaining services will be changed to prevailing ATL promotional rate. You will also be charged the mio termination charges. Your supplementary line will also not enjoy the special rates.

I have subscribed to mio Plan. Can I suspend (TOS) my service?
Yes. You are allowed to TOS your mio Plan service. TOS charges apply.

Where can I change my plan?
Change of plan can be done at any hello! Stores and Teleshop. Alternatively, you can call our customer service number at 1626 or our mio Plan Hotline at 1800 555 6000.
Does the owner of the mio Plan have to be there personally to change the plan?
The owner of mio Plan has to go down personally to change their plans.
Can I change my supplementary line plan?
Yes. You can change your plan for supplementary line tied to mio Plan. Admin fee and downgrading fee applies.
What happen if I upgrade/downgrade within the same or between different mio Plan groups?
Downgrading fee applies. Please refer to Table 10 as follows:

Can I change my plan at any point of time?
Yes. You can change your plan for supplementary line tied to mio Plan. Admin fee and downgrading fee applies.
I have subscribed to mio Plan but after 6 months, I do not wish to bundle my services together and wish to terminate mio Plan but I still want to keep all 3 services. Can I do that?
You may terminate your mio Plan but still keep all 3 services. All the 3 services will be changed to prevailing list of promotional rates.
When can I change my plan to avoid any penalty?
If you are downgrading your current mio Plan, changing of plan without penalty will only be available after you have completed your mio Plan contract term of 24/30 months. You can upgrade your plan without penalty anytime during your mio Plan contract term.
After I change my price plan, will I be tied to an additional 24 months contract or will I continue with my current contract period?
You will continue with your current contract period.
Do I have to pay any admin fee when I change my plan?
An admin fee of $21.40 will be imposed if you change your plan.
When will the change of plan take effect?
Depending on the service(s) you change, service activation for SingTel Mobile plans take 1 day to be effective while service activation for SingNet BroadBand plan may take 4-9 days to be effective.


I.  Transfer of Ownership

Can I do transfer of mio Plan anytime during my contract period?
Yes, you can transfer you mio Plan ownership at any point of your contract period and the transferee will continue with the balance of the mio Plan contract period.
Do I have to pay if I need to transfer my mio Plan ownership?
An admin fee of $21.40 applies.
Does the owner of mio Plan need to be present when doing the transfer?
Both the Transferor and Transferee need to walk-in counter with relevant documents (both original NRICs).
Where can I do transfer of mio Plan?
Transfer of ownership can only be done at hello! Stores. No call-in request will be allowed.
What are the relevant documents I should bring if I want to transfer my mio Plan ownership?
NRICs of both the transferor and transferee.
Will there be any changes to my mio Plan after I transfer my ownership?
No, there will be no changes to the current mio Plan after the transfer. The transferees will continue to enjoy the same free service provided by mio Plan at the bundled price. Eligibility for equipment will remain and continue from the day on mio Plan sign up. The new owner of mio Plan will be eligible for equipment upgrade 12 months remaining mio Plan contract. Can I transfer only the SingNet BroadBand ownership to my wife?
Your SingNet BroadBand subscription needs to be registered under the same NRIC as your SingTel Fixed Line and SingTel Mobile subscriptions in order for you to qualify for mio Plan. Transferring of one service on mio Plan to another NRIC will be considered as unbundling your mio Plan. You will no longer eligible for mio Plan and termination charges may apply.
What happens to my supplementary mobile line(s) if I choose to retain them after transferring my mio Plan?
Your mobile supplementary line(s) will be transferred to a default pricing plan and the existing contractual period of your supplementary mobile line(s) remain.
