SingTel opens New Concept Teleshop at Ngee Ann City
Customers will have more service choices to meet their lifestyle needs
Singapore, 1 December 2005 – SingTel today announced the opening of a new Teleshop store at Ngee Ann City. This is another step by Singapore’s leading telecommunications services provider to further enhance its service infrastructure to build closer ties with its customers.
Located at unit B2-12 in the prime Orchard Road shopping complex, the new concept store boasts over 1,000 sq ft of exciting retail space, promising customers a more tactile and interactive shopping experience.
Ms Ooi Lay Yong, SingTel’s Vice President, Sales, said: “The Teleshop name has been synonymous with accessible and friendly service in Singapore. This opening is both an opportunity to refresh the look and feel of the Teleshop concept, as well as an excellent chance for us to reach out to serve to a new generation of discerning customers.”
The store will have an eye-catching open floor plan to encourage customers to walk around the retail space to browse through product displays. Equipment display counters will also be designed to be open and user-friendly, to encourage customers to touch and feel products for sale.
The Teleshop brand will co-exist with SingTel’s hello!Shop concept stores. Both concepts will offer distinct in-store experiences. Teleshops will offer a differentiated retail experience with quick service and little physical barriers between customers and service staff. SingTel’s hello!Shops will be a showcase for new SingTel products and services and will offer the full range of customer services from sales to the updating and changing of customers’ information, so shop spaces will be designed to be engaging and with comfort in mind.
Ms Ooi added: “The Teleshop concept is an extension of SingTel’s customer-focused outlook. As technologies and services evolve, customer needs will also change. How closely and frequently we can interact with our customers will give us the edge in understanding and meeting their lifestyle needs. This understanding will certainly help us provide a better customer experience on the whole. ”
The Teleshop concept store is yet another tier in SingTel’s extensive service infrastructure serving the needs of its customer base in Singapore. This store, and subsequent Teleshops that will be set up later, are primarily product and services sales-driven outlets. The concept will also reflect and cater to the exacting lifestyles of SingTel’s customers, something encapsulated in SingTel’s concept of Lifespaces.
