4) I am asked to upgrade my iPhone software to the new release version 2.0.2 when I connect my iPhone to iTunes. Will it affect my settings?
Apple occasionally releases software updates that improve performance or introduce features. If the version on the Apple servers is newer, iTunes will prompt the user to download and install that new version. When you update, there are "behind the scenes" things that iTunes needs to do, like unpack the compressed file, copy it to the handset, reboot the phone, etc. which could take from a few minutes up to 30 minutes.
