Dear SingNet Subscriber Thank you for subscribing to the SingNet BroadBand Filtering Service and/or SingNet Family On-Line Plan. SingNet Filtering Service protects your family and yourself from undesirable Internet sites. With this service, you can create up to 6 different filtering profiles over your SingNet Internet access. The f iltering profile refers to the set of customizable filtering rules that you can set for this service. We would like to inform you that your Filtering service has been activated on dd-mm-yyyy for your SingNet userid: abcde. Your login ID and password for the Filtering Service are: To use this service, you will need to change your browser proxy settings. After you have completed the settings, you will be prompted for your Filtering service Login ID and Password when you launch your Internet browser. Please refer to the following guide for the proxy settings: |

| EXAMPLE FOR INTERNET EXPLORER 5.5 | |
| (1) | Double-click on the Internet Explorer icon |
| (2) | From the menu bar, select "Tools > Internet Options..." |
| (3) | The Internet Options window opens. Click on "Connections" tab. |
| (4) | Under the "Connections" tab, there are 2 locations where you can set your proxy settings. |
| LOCATION 1: Dial-up settings | |
| (a) |
For "Dial-Up settings", please go to the Dial-Up settings item and select your SingNet BroadBand (ADSL) connection (The name of your ADSL connection is dependent on the modem you installed. E.g. SingNet Broadband, ADSL Connection and etc) and click on the "Settings..." button. |
Note: If you cannot find your ADSL connection in the "Dial-up Settings", please change your proxy from "Location 2: LAN Settings" |

| (b) | The SingNet Settings window opens. In the Proxy Server item, put a check mark or tick in the option box "Use a proxy server". Please enter the below setting into the "Address" and "Port" fields: |

| (c) | Click on the "Advanced" button to continue |
| (d) | The Proxy Settings window opens. In the "Servers" item, put a check mark or tick the option box "Use the same proxy server for all protocols". |
| (e) | Click on the "OK" button twice to go back to the "Connections" tab window. |
Note: If you are also using SingNet Broadband account via a 56K dial-up modem, please repeat the above steps (a to e) by selecting your SingNet BroadBand User (userid) and click on "Settings". |

LOCATION 2: LAN settings |

| (a) | Please go to the LAN settings item and click on the "LAN Settings..." button |
| (b) | The Local Area Network (LAN) Settings window opens. In the Proxy Server item, put a check mark or tick in the option box "Use a proxy server". Please enter the below setting into the "Address" and "Port" fields: |

| (c) | Click "Advanced" button to continue |
| (d) | The Proxy Settings window opens. In the "Servers" item, put a check mark or tick the option box "Use the same proxy server for all protocols". |
| (e) | Click on the "OK" button to save the settings |
| (f) | Click on the "OK" button to apply and update the changes |

EXAMPLE FOR NETSCAPE COMMUNICATOR 4.X |

| (1) | Launch the Netscape Communicator Program |
| (2) | From the menubar, click on "Edit > Preferences..." |
| (3) | Netscape Communicator Preferences window opens with a window on the left and the corresponding information for the items in the window on the right |
| (4) | In the left window, select "Advanced > Proxies" item |
| (5) | In the right window, select the option "Manual proxy configuration" |
| (6) | Click on the "View..." button to continue |
| (7) | The Manual Proxy Configuration window opens. Enter the below settings |
