Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

 

1. What is my current allocated email space?
  If you are a SingNet dial-up or SingNet Broadband user, your default allocated email space is 6MB.
 
2. Tell me more about the increase in Email Space.
  All SingNet dial-up, SingNet Broadband and SingNet business ADSL will have 20MB, 30MB and 40Mb respectively from 1st October 2003.
 
3. How much will I need to pay?
  No charges incurred for this increase of the email space. This is absolutely FREE.
 
4. Any registration / procedure needed?
  No registration needed. Existing subscribers will be automatically be upgraded. New subscribers will get 20MB (Dial-up) and 30MB (SingNet Broadband)
 
5. I am an existing SingNet dial-up customer; will I also get my 20MB?
  Yes, however existing SingNet dial-up, SingNet Broadband and SingNet.
Business ADSL customers will be given the Increase email space three working days after 1st October 2003.
 
6. I have an existing Supplementary Email account, do I also get the increase email Space?
  Yes. It will be increased to 20MB from the existing 6MB.
 
7. I have subscribed to the Additional Email Space during your promotion previously, what will happen to my mailbox?
  For those subs who signed up for the Additional Email Space previously, you will be given the 20MB + the email space capacity previous signed up.
Example:
Previously, during the Additional Email Space Promotion, if sub signs up
For additional 5MB, he will get:
      6MB + 5MB = 11MB
However as of 1st October 2003 onwards, he will get
      20MB + 5MB = 25MB
 
8. What happens if I want to terminate my additional email space, which I signed up during the promotion?
  Subs can fax their termination to our SingNet Sales and Enquiry at 6535-8191.
 
9. If I want to downgrade from SingNet Broadband to SingNet Dial-up, what will happen to my email space?
  Let’s assume that the subscriber who subscribed to SingNet BroadBand and has a 30MB email space which he then downgrades to Dial Up with 20MB email space, assume that his mailbox is utilized up to 25MB now and he has not POPed his mails (i.e still in mail server). We will allow user to keep the 25MB but he will not be allowed to receive further emails until he POPs his emails, once that is done he will be re-instated with 20MB.
 
10. What is the maximum email file size I can receive within each email?
  The maximum email file size you can receive is 10MB for each email  including message and attachments.
