What is Global Broadband Roaming? |
| |
It is a new global roaming
service that offers high-speed broadband connections when
accessing the Internet while overseas. Subscribers can access
the Internet wirelessly via "hotspots" at various locations
- such as hotels, airports, convention centres and places
frequented by travellers. Alternatively, a SingNet subscriber
can access the Internet while overseas via wired broadband
access points at selected hotels. |
| |
| 2. |
How is it different
from the current Global Roaming? |
| |
The current Global Roaming
offers subscribers Internet access at 56Kbps speeds via an
analog modem. The new broadband roaming offers wired and wireless
Internet access at 128Kbps bandwidth and above with greater
convenience at selected wireless hotspot locations and hotels
around the world. |
| |
|

To update automatically:
From the iPassConnect menu bar, select Options
> Settings.
Select Automatically update phonebook and click
OK.

There are two options for updating your phonebook manually:
If you prefer to update your phonebook manually,
From the Connection Status Dialog (seen as you connect),
click Info > Update Phonebook.
Or
If your phonebook is so out of date you cannot connect
to the Internet with iPassConnect to perform a phonebook
update, open Options > Update Phonebook.
This method works only when you already have a connection
to the Internet through some device other than your modem
(i.e. via LAN access).
