Browser proxy settings for SingNet Enhanced Filtering Service

1) Open the Internet Explorer, click on "Tools" and select "Internet Options".


2) You will see the "Internet Options" shown below.


3) Select the "Connections" and click on the "LAN Settings" box.


4) At the Proxy Server section, select "Use a proxy server for your LAN (These settings will not apply to dial-up or VPN connections)", and click “Advanced”


5) At Proxy Settings, key in “filter.singnet.com.sg” and port “8080” as illustrated. Click “OK” to confirm the settings. Close the Internet Explorer.


6) A Login Prompt will pop-up when open the Internet Explorer, you will need to key in your Enhanced Filtering LoginID and Password.

For “Parent”, the login ID is SingNetID (userid@singnet) and Enhanced Filtering Password.

Note: Enhanced Filtering Password IS NOT SingNet Broadband Password.


For “Child”, login ID is “ChildID” (without the “@singnet”) and Child Password.
Note: Child IDs and Passwords are assigned by the Parent


7) 1) If "Parent" forgot or do not have a Enhanced Filtering Service Password, he can click at "Cancel" button at the login prompt which will pop-up when he enter URL in the internet browser.


“Parent” will be redirected to the below page. By following the instructions, “Parent” will be able to enter Password Retrieval Page.


At the Password Retrieval Page, “Parent” will need to key in SingNetID (userid@singnet) and click “Submit” button. Once clicked on “Submit” , “Parent” will be redirected to SingNet Email to login to retrieve the password.

Note: Your SingNet Email Password is found on your SNBB Service Letter. Pls Call 1610 if you require any assistance.
