Recognising that there is no guarantee to security on the Internet, SingNet introduces the Global Roam Service Utility to assist all SingNet Dial-up subscribers to protect their SingNet Global Roaming Service account. This new Utility under Manage Your Account allows SingNet Dial-up subscribers to:-

1) Disable or Enable SingNet Global Roaming Service

Once the service is disabled, subscribers will not be able to Global Roam until it is enabled again via the same utility. SingNet strongly encourages subscribers to keep their SingNet Global Roaming Service disabled when not in use to prevent any unauthorised log-in.

Whenever a request is submitted to change the status of SingNet Global Roaming Service account, an official auto-reply email will be sent to the account holder, acknowledging the changes. This is to ensure that the SingNet account holder is informed of the status change and take immediate action if the change is made by an unauthorised party.

2) Disable or Enable SingNet Global Roaming Usage Alert Service

The account holder will be alerted via email in about 48 hours (dependent on SingNet's Global Roaming Partners) when there is an Global Roam Usage activity. By default, when the SingNet Global Roaming Service is enabled, the SingNet Global Roaming Usage Alert Service is enabled too. However, subscribers can choose to disable this service via the same Utility.

SingNet strongly recommends all subscribers to keep SingNet Global Roaming Usage Alert Service enabled when their Global Roam Service is enabled. This will allow the subscribers to take immediate action when they detect unauthorised usage from the alert service.
